The manufacture of landmines is done so by countries in
such a way as to prevent device exposure to the elements in times of war. This
process is known as “weather proofing” the mine so that it can
remain underground for long periods of time without risk of deterioration
through natural effects. In the video below, US forces find a weapons cache in Iraq which
includes what are known as “EFP” plates. EFP plates (explosively-formed
penetrators) are inserted in anti-tank mines when industrial mine production
mass-produces them. They are weapons of a nation-state’s
military-industrial sector and highly-controlled to prevent their dissemination
for non-military applications. The EFP plates that US forces have found are
products of a nation-state’s mass-production munitions capability, but “parted”
out, which means insurgent and terrorist forces in Iraq are being made available
to them a host of mine components so that those forces can build their own anti-tank
mines to attack US and coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. This proves
hostile nation-state support for insurgent forces engaging the
democratically-elected government in Iraq,
and the source of that support could be Iran
and Syria
specifically. Notice too how in the video US forces find a bag full of steel ball
bearings which are used by the terrorists as anti-personnel projectiles in
their explosive devices. These components are all produced by hostile
nation-states to assist the Caliphate Jihadist war effort against the west.
