Controlled Defeat

The American position in Iraq and Afghanistan and within the sphere of the War on Terrorism itself is now becoming a controlled defeat.

A controlled defeat occurs when a nation-state deploys military forces, but the price of victory negatively outweighs the price of defeat. Even if the military force can soundly reach its stated objectives on the battlefield, the same military force is leashed, subjected to unnatural rules of engagement that threaten it, and used as a political football by enemies of America.

The US military could, very easily, crush the insurgency in Iraq literally overnight. The US military could then conduct precision operations inside Iran and destroy the Iranian nuclear program. Syrian support of the Iraqi insurgency against US desired democratic installation in Iraq could also be handled through precision strikes against critical Syrian infrastructure. These operations would occur if the United States was serious about Iraq, instead of the politician’s view that foreign nation-states are critiquing the United States so it is best to allow a defeat of American forces. To the new political class, the US military gracefully accepted defeat in Vietnam even though that same military force won every major battle on the peninsula, so a defeat at the hands of a radical Islamic insurgency filled with terrorists is not that much of a problem. The US military will just have to accept the new political outcome and live with it. This outcome becomes even easier since the new political class has no children of their own in uniform with nothing to sacrifice.

This defeat has been in the works for years. The American people were bombarded with psychological operations from the leftist international media daily and consistently with messages of “Iraq cannot be stabilized”, and “Iraq is now a civil war” and a “hopeless effort”, ad infinitum. Pictures of US soldiers that had raped Iraqi women became the headlines, the momentary lapse of reason and judgment by one American soldier affecting the entire war from a psyop perspective. The abuses at Abu Ghraib were also another focal point of media psyop pressure and influence, with pictures of American servicewomen abusing Iraqi insurgent detainees. It was then apparent to the international media that US forces should never be legally allowed to take a single prisoner in the War on Terrorism and they had the video and pictures to prove their assertions. America was, as the leftist media arranged it, the “aggressor” and America deserved to go it alone, as long as America was not late on its funding of the Marxist United Nations bureaucratic apparatus.

With every action by the new international political class there must be a lesson. The lesson that America needed to be taught, yet again, was that we are not allowed to “go it alone”. American integration of the meaning of “independence” throughout our history no longer applies outside our borders. The new international political class doesn’t understand nor care about any threatened population of human beings and the challenges that embrace them. The millions of people in Darfur that are being starved, stoned and shot to death are of no consequence to the new political class. America decided to go it alone in the war in Iraq, and now America would have to suffer the consequences of making that decision. Those betrayed by these international decisions the most and decisions that violate American sovereignty are our soldiers—the American soldiers that risked their lives to help Iraqis and Afghanis become free.

If there is one thing that Americans cannot detest more, it is a loser. Americans are programmed to win. If you watch American professional sports in a stadium environment, those that cheer for their team and watch their team lose return home with gloomy stares. The sports team will be able to return to the stadium the following day or the following week to win again, but Americans want to win every time. Teams that do not win are frowned upon.

This is the fate that we are allowing the international community to impose over American soldiers. The American military forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan were not the conquerors, they were the liberators. The hostile international media however portrayed them as the steely-eyed killers associated with an aggressive conquering army that slaughtered indiscriminately. So-called leading intellectuals in the west claimed that the American military force in Iraq and Afghanistan was the most “murderous” force in American history. The American nation has clearly again betrayed the most loyal to it.

The radical left internationally and domestically inside America has managed to betray our soldiers consistently for decades. The radical left hates our military because it is an institution that is capable of spreading the idea of America. Victorious American armies that return home from war do so in grand parades just as the psyop-constructed professional sports teams also deserve parades in the minds of the people. From the start of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the War on Terrorism in general, nothing was more important to the leftist media and its agents in the radical left as to deny our soldiers a victory. Veterans from the Greatest Generation that fought fascism during World War II had their annual parades and vast veteran organizations that carried real political clout. An American defeat in the War on Terrorism was critical to the far left because they do not want another generation of young American men to be able to justly fall back on any accomplishment. The far left doesn’t want to see any more veteran organizations and they certainly do not want to be bothered with the annoyances involved in seeing parades honoring veterans. In fact, if the far left could just “do away” with veterans completely, then that would be the juiciest outcome. The hatred of veterans by the far left exceeds the hatred and loathing of the infidel by fundamentalist Islam.

It must be defeat, and so it is said by the far left and so it must be done.

The confused American people, after listening to years of Marxist propaganda from media sources, decided to vote against the War on Terrorism. President Ahmadinejad of Iran was so enthusiastic about the recent American election that he wrote a nice four page letter to the American people congratulating them on their decision to hand Iraq over to radical Islam and at the same time protecting Iran’s nuclear program which will eventually be used against the State of Israel and the United States.

The future outcomes derived from an American retreat from Iraq are obvious. Terrorists will come to the United States and begin blowing up pregnant American women at the grocery store standing in line to buy baby food. The terrorists that do so will be wearing Shahid suicide vests packed with high-explosives and nails, bolts and ball-bearings. American school buses packed full of little Johnnies and Sallies will be ambushed from roadside positions by terrorists with automatic weapons fire. An occasional assassination of an American politician will occur, as well as attacks upon American civilian infrastructure such as civilian passenger aircraft and train systems using surface to air missiles and bombs.

The global Caliphate must become a reality, according to the terrorists, and a retreating America will be ripe for attack domestically.

The far-left international media will report on the future attacks energetically, stopping just short of saying that America deserved them for trying to spread the idea of America in the Middle East. The leftist media will offer its sympathies to the “victims”, as media did when the terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and then they will move on to the local weather forecast and cheerfully wait for the next terrorist attack. Commentators from time to time will appear on talk shows and blame the Bush Administration for every future terrorist attack even though he will no longer be president, a universal blame-game to seat his legacy. Media will form a cozy relationship with transnational Islamic fundamentalist groups because media will not want to be killed by those terrorists, and media doesn’t want Islamic fundamentalists driving ammonium nitrate truck bombs through the headquarters of media companies and other propaganda outlets. Media then will side with the Caliphate to save its own skin—surrender being the only option.

Western societies will be the greatest losers in this game. Many western citizens will sit back and reflect about how their civilization was so complete until fundamentalist Islam appeared to destroy their way of life. Traditional freedoms will disintegrate as national ID cards appear and as increased police forces begin appearing in every state and sector of the nation trying to combat the terrorism. Every citizen will become a suspect, and the state will have an interest in criminalizing all of them so files can be made. Life will become a hit or miss proposition for citizens during all of this as the citizen wonders if they will make it through the day without being killed by radical Islamic terrorist devices. The western citizen will become the greatest victim and everything they cherished—from community to conflict resolution—will slowly decay into fascism empowered by apologist bureaucratic functionaries that enable it.

This is a grim future, but a future for the state led by a political class that does not have the will to defend it. The United States does have the will and resources to go it alone provided we remain unconcerned about “criticism” and do what we need to do to win the War on Terrorism. To win the War on Terrorism we must identify all of the hostile elements working against America, not limited to the terrorists who attack us with bombs and bullets. When we allow forces hostile to the idea of America shape our foreign policy and the prerequisites for deploying military forces to defend our country, we are allowing a multiplication of enemies to attack the United States.

This conflict cannot be avoided and there is no running away. Americans one day will have to make a choice—terrorist bombs in the baby food isles of grocery stores, or US military intervention with flexible rules of engagement against our enemies overseas.

The fundamentalist Islamic terrorist bomb in baby food isles inside American grocery stores appears to be the American choice at the moment. That means a certain level of killing of Americans is going to be allowed in the United States in lue of deploying our military forces against aggressors overseas so the new political class can avoid being “criticized” by Marxist internationalists.
