Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, and his closest advisors within the Iranian
Revolutionary Council have a lot to celebrate.
Iranian
military advisors and intelligence personnel are claiming victory over American
and coalition forces in Iraq
using Iranian combat tactics, military ordnance and other logistical support.
The Iraqi insurgent plan to defeat the United States in war is really a
very simple plan. This plan calls for four specific objectives:
Avoid
confronting US military units on the ground directly.
Harass
and kill US military personnel and supply convoy operations using ambushes,
improvised explosives devices, and other guerilla methods.
Try
to kill at least ten US
soldiers per day to break the will of the American people to fight the war in Iraq.
Purge
Iraq
of all non-Shai (Shiite) intellectuals, members of government and industry
through kidnapping, executions and assassinations.
As this
plan has been unfolding against the United States
in Iraq and the Iraqi
people, President Ahmadinejad (code name Armageddon in Islamic circles) has
been very busy trying to remove the United States from the global
stage. US engagement in the
Middle East and US diplomatic activities that influence Iran are only feasible if the United States
can project military power in the region.
The war
in Iraq and Afghanistan has been the centerpiece of
criticism toward the United
States by the European Union and Arab and
non-Arab nation-states alike. European nation-states do not want to get
involved in this war because the delicate balance of European socialist
economies would be disrupted and leftist politicians would no longer be able to
maintain their stranglehold on power in the European Union by distributing
national wealth in exchange for votes from their socialist constituent voting
blocks. Just wars are made unpopular before the facts leading up to those wars
can be examined. The European mindset is surrender, as they tried to surrender
to the Soviet block nation-state system and communism for most of the 20th
Century. European intellectuals also believe that any help they give to the United States
benefits the State of Israel.
Arab and
non-Arab nation-states have different reasons to want to stay out of the war
against fundamentalist Islam. As fundamentalist Islam is increasingly moving
towards the adaptation of the theocratic Trotskyism model of warmongering and
expansion, Arab and non-Arab nation-states in the Middle East have a lot to be
fearful of if the United States
is forced out of Iraq.
By the tens of thousands, radical Islamic fundamentalists trained on the
battlefields of Iraq
would collapse upon neighboring Arab and non-Arab nation-states and would begin
operating against the monarchial governments of those states. In a very brief
period of time there would be kidnappings, terrorist acts including
suicide-bombings and shootings, assassinations, beheadings and calls for those
states to surrender to radical Islam. Should the United
States leave Iraq, neighboring states in the
region could possibly begin to disintegrate.
The
international media has attempted to define this war as another American
“Vietnam”.
This war against terrorism is not Vietnam. The Vietnamese are
Stalinists, a form of revolutionary communism that seeks to internalize its
drive to Utopia. The Vietnamese were not planning to build armies to march
outside their borders and invade neighboring countries. The North Vietnamese
wanted Americans out of Vietnam,
as Iran and Syria want America
out of Iraq, the difference
being that once America does
leave Iraq under any
conditions, victory or defeat, Iraq
will not internalize as Vietnam
did. Iraq will shift rapidly
to the theocratic Trotskyism model that was the foundation of the Iranian
Revolution in 1979 and Iranian efforts to equip and mobilize Hezbollah and
other terrorist organizations in the Middle East
since that time.
The
European Union’s delusion in its comparison of radical Islam to Vietnam is the
highest degree of wishful thinking seen since the 1930s. European Union
politicians are taking wishful thinking to levels even greater than that of
Chamberlain.
The
fundamentalist Islamic objective of destroying or at least seriously degrading US military power was derived from
lessons-learned during the war with the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. By
avoiding Soviet troop and armor concentrations directly and attacking those
forces asymmetrically, the Jihadists were able to break the will and spirit of
the Soviet people and force their withdrawal from Afghanistan. The US provided military assistance to the Afghani
Mujahadeen back in those days because the United
States wanted communism to be contained, but the roots of
this new global conflict against radical Islam and transnational terrorist
organizations began long before the Afghanistan
invasion by the Soviet Union on Christmas day
in 1979.
Luring
the Soviet Union into Afghanistan
was a remarkably clever idea. Islamic tribes had been dealt with by heavy hands
from communists in Moscow
for decades. Joseph Stalin, for example, ordered the transferring of almost
every Islamic person from Chechnya
to Siberia in an effort to annihilate the
Chechen people. In nation-states such as Uzbekistan that were the primary
venues of Soviet uranium mining and processing for its vast nuclear arsenal,
the worship of Islam was forbidden by the Soviet state. Communism then created
generations of rage in Islamic peoples towards it, and Islam found no
difficulty whatsoever recruiting soldiers to fight the communists when war
broke out in Afghanistan.
Fundamentalist Islam then is yet another proven byproduct of the perversion of
communism in the 20th Century that will long haunt the world into
the 21st Century and the global community has been drawn into the
fight whether it wants to acknowledge it or not.
The Mujahadeen
model of warfare that is being conducted against the United
States in Iraq
and Afghanistan is the same
model that was used against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. The Mujahadeen model
of warfare has been tweaked somewhat as it uses new and sophisticated military
ordnance and tactics derived from Iran, but fundamentally it is the
same. This model seeks to degrade the modern army that it engages over time,
create as many wounded and killed in action casualties as it can, and then wait
for the peoples of the nation-state that invaded to rise up against the
government that created the intervention policy and force a retreat. This is
the war-fighting model of fundamentalist Islam that appeared in the late 20th
Century and with victory over the Soviets it will be a war-fighting model
deployed against the west for all of the 21st Century.
President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran
simply cannot contain himself as these events unfold. The remaking of the Persian Empire has long been a goal of the Iranian
Revolutionary Council since 1979. While President Ahmadinejad does not yet see
himself as the next Xerxes of Persian history, he is intent on sending the United States out of the Middle
East in defeat. A Xerxes personality construct in Ahmadinejad may
evolve if Iran becomes the
hegemon of the Middle East as dependent upon the US
will to remain in Iraq
and its neighboring states to shore up security or US withdrawal from the
region.
President
Ahmadinejad is convinced that the recent US
congressional elections are a pulse-checking of the American people and an
outcome that the United States
should withdraw from Iraq
and Afghanistan.
The Iranian president believes that he is immune from any intervention by the United States
in regards to Iranian nuclear research and development. President Ahmadinejad
is convinced and the Iranian leadership cell overall is convinced that if
President Bush makes any attempt to intervene in Iran to try and stop the
development of Persian nuclear weapons capability, that the US congress will
impeach President Bush and this would facilitate Iranian nuclear plans.
The
Persians have another back-up plan too. They know that the United States
is unpredictable when it comes to our will to protect and defend our freedom
and the freedom of other nation-states in which we form our alliances.
President Ahmadinejad is exploring ways to convert the oil markets from US
dollars and into Euros. Ahmadinejad wants to install an Iranian Oil Bourse to
trample the currency markets. This would make it much more difficult for the United States
to finance and conduct protracted warfare to benefit US interests around the
world.
One must
also consider whether or not European inactivity against Islamic fundamentalism
is a new form of anti-Semitism. Prior to US involvement in Iraq and prior to the attacks upon the United States
by terrorist organizations on September 11, 2001, the bulk of European foreign
aid went to Palestinian causes. Since US
involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan and Israeli military operations against
Hezbollah in Lebanon,
European efforts to install a Palestinian state and force compliance from the
State of Israel have collapsed. The unwillingness of European states to become
involved in the War on Terrorism effort led by the United States may then be rooted in
anti-Semitism.
The United States can expect Iran to seize
on that motive as it tries to make the Euro the currency of choice for
international oil transactions. The reason this must occur is that it is the
key to destroying the State of Israel and removing the United States from the global
stage.
